A snapshot of guest ratings and stories behind the stay.
“We stayed at L’Etoile des Sybelles for the week of New Year’s Eve with 7 people (4 adults and 3 children). Our apartment was on the highest floor (level 8), and the view was stunning with a large balcony. We were at the end of the corridor and didn’t hear our neighbors at all, so no complaints about noise or thin walls. That said, it should be noted that in France, many buildings use timber frame walls with plasterboard instead of concrete or brick, and all interior walls in the apartment were of this (relatively thin) type. The apartment is officially equipped for 8 people, but with 7 it already felt quite cramped. For example, there is a dining table with 6 chairs; you can squeeze in a 7th person at the head of the table, but I honestly don’t know where an 8th person would sit. The bedrooms (we had 3) could be a bit larger, but they are fine overall. Each bedroom has two large wardrobes, which is very practical. Our apartment had 2 bathrooms: one was spacious and equipped with a bathtub, but the second one was very small, barely enough space for two people to stand at the same time. One point of criticism for all of us was the pillows. They were extremely flat and far too small, and we all slept poorly because of them. There were pillows on the sofa in the living room that we ended up using, but we weren’t sure whether they were as hygienic as the ones on the beds. So I would strongly recommend bringing your own pillow, if there’s still room left in the car There are plenty of hooks, and even a drying rack with lots of coat hangers, which is very useful for drying ski clothes and accessories. The electric radiators heat very well. The kitchen is well equipped, and you’ll find everything you need in the cupboards. The apartment was absolutely spotless (especially noticeable because the cupboards are black, so fingerprints show easily). Kudos to the cleaning team The ski room is very spacious, with enough room to put on your boots, something that’s often not the case in this type of residence. Usually, ski rooms feel like a “survival of the fittest” area where people forget basic manners, but that wasn’t the case here The location is great: close to the shopping street/mall and the ski lifts. Normally, ski-out is possible, but we couldn’t do it due to lack of snow. Still, it was only about a 250-meter walk to the nearest ski lift, which is absolutely fine. There is also a wellness area with a swimming pool (partly indoor and outdoor), a sauna, and a steam room. This area was very clean, but a bit small once the ski lifts close and most guests arrive at the same time. There aren’t enough deckchairs (simply due to lack of space), and the sauna and steam room fill up quickly, so you may have to wait. Oh and don't get fool by the images here of the swimming pool, the exterior doesn't look so close by the mountains, probably a bit too much use of Photoshop. The staff at the reception were very kind and polite. We didn’t have contact with other staff members. There were evening activities for children, but we never attended because both kids and adults were too tired after a full day of skiing, so I can’t really comment on that. The residence is equipped with electronic locks that you can use by installing an app on your smartphone and entering the building, your apartment or the ski locker. This locking system was very great because we were with 7 but only got 2 cards. So anyone could enter / exit when he wanted. Overall, we were very happy with our stay at Résidence Club MMV. The only real downside was the pillows, a small issue that could easily be improved.”
“We were part of the organised festival, the location is closed to all the interested points. The apartments were refurbished recently and they provide you all the towels and linen. The pool is small but for the beginning of the season was perfect. Well organised lockers for storing the ski equipment.”
“Very good value for money: rooms were comfortable for this price range; spa was very enjoyable (when it wasn’t crowded) and the ski lockerroom was excellent”
“Exceptional Hotel! Highly recommend visiting. Easy access to the slopes and large spacious rooms that have been recently renovated. It’s a must stay!”
